Cai is a very striking 18 month old (DOB 25/8/15) lurcher who is looking for a new home with the company of another dog and humans who are around for most of the time.
Cai tragically lost his litter brother last year in a road accident which he witnessed. Since then, Cai’s not been quite the same and has developed increasing anxiety at being left alone.
Currently living in a family environment with young children, Cai also lives with a cat, who he gets on well with – they even sleep together (look at the picture!) so we feel he would be cat trainable in a new home.
The current guardians are looking for a new home for Cai where he’ll have other canine company and with adopters who can dedicate some time and energy to helping him with his anxiety.
Cai is great with other dogs (although he is young, so likes to play!), is off lead in safe areas and walks well on the lead. He is very people-friendly, housetrained, wormed and flea treated. His is not currently neutered but his family will arrange this for any new adopter before he goes into a new home.
Cai is being offered through GRW on a ‘Homed from Home’ basis, which means that he will move straight from his current home to a new home without the stress of coming into kennels.
GRW’s usual home check and adoption policies apply.
