Each month we focus on a dog we have assessed at Hillcrest Sanctuary, providing all the details on their wonderful personalities, needs and wants.

November: Rodney

A gentle loving boy, a little reserved until you get to know him but then he shows so much affection. He’s absolutely loves ball games, playing with toys and likes to share.

He loves exploring on walks and is very curious about his surroundings. He has a great appetite and loves treats, he’s a true gent.

He’s still getting used to other breeds, at the moment he does react a bit noisily when he sees another breed of dog, but can also do a very polite meet and greet with other calm dogs. He’ll soon get there with meeting other dogs.

Rodney would like a quiet home with either adults or teenaged children, with no cats. He could be an only dog with plenty of human company or live happily with a male or female greyhound.

May 2018 our focus is:

Flint is a very loving boy who wants nothing more than to stand by you and nuzzle into you once he gets to know you.

After some initial excitement he settles well into his lead walks, enjoys a play in the paddock and has always been good with his kennel mates. We have never had any concerns with him around Valley our resident small fluffy dog although we will always emphasise that great diligence needs to be taken around any small animal.

April 2018 is here the spring time is out and this time we are looking at our beautiful best friends Rhoda and Leeroy. Both young energetic and intelligent! Love to play and would suit a home with other dogs. Unless you would like to adopt both!! Take a look at their profiles here: Adopt Me
