Jenny, Sam and Maisy Walk 150km in May

GRW trustee Jenny is walking 150km this May with her greyhounds Sam and Maisy, totalling the same distance covered by all her adopted dogs over their racing lives. Jenny says:

“Joe and I have been fortunate enough to have adopted three dogs from GRW – the late great Queen Bea, Sam and Maisy. Over the course of their racing lives, between them our dogs raced 150,948m on the race tracks of the UK…

Sam and Maisy, complete with humans, are going to do something far more enjoyable. Scenic, sniffy walks is a far more pleasurable way to travel that distance – so that’s what Sam and Maisy are going to do. 150km throughout May.”

Our CEO Tim Doyle will be running 17 miles and climbing 3000ft over the Brecon Beacons in May to raise money for Greyhound Rescue Wales. Tim says:

“I am about as far from a natural trail runner as you can get, but I am going to run through the pain to spread the word about the amazing work of GRW and raise much-needed funds for our hounds.”
