The Great Global Greyhound Walk is a worldwide celebration of greyhounds, lurchers and other sighthounds, bringing together thousands of dogs and their owners for one special day each year.
Held in towns, cities and countryside across the globe, these walks help raise awareness of sighthounds as gentle, loving pets and promote greyhound adoption and rehoming.
Every walk is a chance to meet fellow sighthound owners, make new friends and enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Greyhound Rescue Wales is keen to increase its activity in north Wales and if you’d be interested in attending more sighthound socials locally, do come along to discuss!
Please join us for the Llanberis walk which will take you from the car park, across fields and to the outskirts of the village. We usually end the walk at the big sword, and take a picture!
We will meet in the carpark by the Slate Museum at 10.00. The postcode is LL55 4TY. There is a fee to park which can be paid using the pay and display machine or via PayByPhone.
The walk usually lasts approximately 60 minutes and the ground is fairly flat and even. Llanberis has many dog friendly cafes so there is the option at the end of the walk to have a coffee and cake should you so wish!
Please note – all dogs must be kept on lead for the duration of our walk.
