We need your help now more than ever…

For 32 years, we have been there for greyhounds and lurchers that have nowhere else to turn. We place no limits on the help that we offer…from broken legs to blindness, we foot the bill to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs that very few rescues are able or willing to help…

…but it has never been so difficult. In recent years, sharp increases in the price of vet bills, energy, maintenance and more have seen our operating costs outstrip our ability to raise funds, and we can’t go on like this much longer.

That’s why this February, we’re asking our supporters to take part in our February 500 fundraising challenge. We have over 11,000 followers on Facebook alone, which means we only need less than 2% of our followers to complete our challenge for us to hit our target!

There are no limits to what you can do for your fundraiser, from sponsored walks to cake sales, office charity days to an eBay clearout of your loft…every single fundraiser is a step closer to our target and another greyhound or lurcher that we can save.

Call to Action

We’re calling for supporters to run their own £500 fundraisers throughout the month of February.

From bake sales to sponsored bike rides, eBay clearouts to office collection tins…every bit helps us get closer to our target.

Our goal is to raise £100,000 so we can continue our work in support of greyhounds and lurchers in need.

Did you know…

Across Great Britain right now, there are approximately 2,500 racing greyhounds ‘stuck’ in trainers’ kennels after reaching the end of their racing careers.

In 2023, it cost Greyhound Rescue Wales an average of £2000 for every dog we rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed. This doesn’t include operating costs like fundraising or maintenance.

For 32 years, we’ve been there for the dogs that have nowhere else to turn…but the cost of doing it has never been so high.

We urgently need your help so we can continue our work now and into the future.
